Mike currently works at the Karl Strauss brewery, he is a part time boatman on the Tavarua island resort, he is an active member in the wind an sea surf club and recently won the 08-09 windansea fall classic, and is a member of the Matuse wetsuits family/team.

With all the hype over the past south swell, i wanted to show some photos of my friend from northern california Noel Robinson in puerto escondido. Noel spends the summer months down in mainland mexico waiting for swell. Noel travels and films with greg long frequently and captured greg charging the recent south swell, Noel also filmed the recent surfing magazine google earth trip to a mexican pointbreak. Looking back at Bali-
After a 9 year hiatus, i returned to Bali. I havent been back to Bali since i was 17, so i wanted to show a few photos that show the new development in the Ulu Watu area.
Bali-year 2000- just the Beginning of the Blue Point resort

2009- and all the new warung's. Including a surfshop called Gangsta surf, a fake cement wave to take photos in, and 6 different people shooting with 600-Lenses-just to sell the tourist photos.
2000-Path to the 'Gong' hotel. I paid this 50-year-old bali lady to carry my boards from Ulu watu to this hotel, probably for less than 2 dollars,what a young punk i was!
2009-Development over old path, i think the lady in the photo above was walking through where these buildings sit today.

Greg Long never stops raising the bar. I wanted to show another picture of this wave because i am not sure if everyone understands how historic this drop was. Greg Long ruling on the day of days. Can he win the 2010 ride of year already? he deserves it.
